Web Browers, Email and Productivity Tools

WS-FTP (File Transfer Software)
WS-FPT is the defacto standard FTP software. Free
demo, inexpensive license - its worth every penny. I manage
dozens of sites using this software, and I marvel at its
flexibility and ease of use.
- WebPosition
(Automated Search Engine Tool)
Webposition software helps you maintain your position in
the search engines. By automating the mundane task of finding
where your sites are positioned, Webpostion frees your value
time for design & development .... you'd rather be doing
that anyway, right?
- Netscape
Communicator Update(Browser Suite)
What can I say ... I hate Microsoft, and I'm glad there's
a company with a better browser.
- Pegasus
E-Mail(E-Mail Client)
The best E-Mail program around, and it's free! I've been
using Pegasus E-Mail for several years, and there's nothing
it can't do. Multiple POP3 email, unlimited folders, hot-linked
URLs, hidden recipient list (mass mailings), great mail
filtering, ... and much more. See for yourself - it's free
to download and free to use.
-
CGI, Perl and Java/JavaScript
- CGI
Resource Index(CGI Programs)
This is THE resource for Programs
you can use to enhance your site. Shopping carts, counters,
guest books, you name it. All you need is access to a cgi
library on your server, the ability to run them, and enough
patience and fortitude to learn!
- Free
CodeAnother source for free CGI, Perl and Java
scripts.
- Dave
CentralOne of the best sources for all types
of Web-based shareware program.
- Web
AbstractionA good Java source, including Tutorials
and Free Scripts.

up your web site.

Internet Dial-UpWell ... nothing's exactly free.
This National ISP offers free Dial-up, but you have to put up
with an animated advertisement displayed at the top or bottom
of your screen (pops on top). The service is consistently slower
than my local ISP, and it disconnects occasionally. But
... it provides a reasonable and no-cost backup to my local
provider.
